Celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week 2026
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4–8, and we have a full week of celebrations planned to show our teachers just how much they mean to our community.
Our teachers give so much to our students every single day — and this week is our chance to pour a little back into them. The HSA has organized a full week of events designed to make every teacher feel genuinely supported and appreciated.
We also know that May marks the start of "Maycember" — one of the busiest stretches of the year for families. That's why family participation this year is simple, low-stress, and completely optional. We've done the heavy lifting so that joining in feels joyful rather than like one more thing on the list.
A day-by-day look at the week
How families can join in
Families are warmly invited to participate on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Everything below is completely optional — choose whatever feels right for your family this year.
- Wed, Apr 29 Last day to purchase "Favorite Things" items on Amazon. Items ship directly to our committee. Use the link or QR code in the attached flyer.
- Mon, May 4 Send in a "refuel" themed goodie — coffee gift cards, energy drinks, snacks, or anything that gives a boost.
- Wed, May 6 Send in classroom supply donations. Your room parent will share your teacher's specific wish list. Volunteers will collect items at school on Wednesday.
- Fri, May 8 Send in a handwritten thank-you note to your teachers. A few heartfelt words go a long way.
