From the Desk of Mrs. Hobik
June 25, 2018
I hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of their summer break and have gotten the luxury to get some rest and relaxation. It’s hard to believe that next week is the Fourth of July and for me, that marks the middle of the summer.
As we closed our school year we not only had to say goodbye to families and students that are leaving our school, but we also had to bid farewell to faculty and staff members. Mrs. Elizabeth Conner retired and moved to PA, Mrs. Kozlowski took a position as an Assistant Principal at Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Towson, Mrs. Gallagher moved on to retirement, Mrs. Schafter is taking time-off for herself and Mrs. Cordell retired to take care of her two granddaughters. We thank God for giving all of them to us and to Saint Margaret School. We thank them for sharing their gifts and talents and their service to His children. May He keep them in His care.
We are currently working to complete our faculty and staff for next year and you may have already noticed two new faces to our offices, but not to our school. Mrs. Stacie Currey is assuming the position of secretary at the Elementary School and Mrs. Chrissy Barnes is the secretary at the Middle School campus. They have been transitioning into their new positions and will assume full responsibilities as of July 1.
The Primary (White) School Building is moving along smoothly with the renovations. The windows that have been installed make the building look like a new building. I have been told that progress is on schedule and, hopefully, will be completed as planned. We will keep you up-to-date.
If you have not already done so, please go to our website and check out the school calendar. All of the dates for the new school year, 2018-2019, have been posted. I hope this helps with your planning for next year.
Just a reminder, if you have not completed your registration (deposits, Financial Agreement and other necessary forms) please do so as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly in preparation for next year.
I pray that everyone has a safe and enjoyable Fourth of July.
In His name and for His children,
Mrs. Madeleine M. Hobik M.Ed.PrincipalSaint Margaret School
