The Presidential Award for Education Excellence

Students must have an A average on grade 6, Grade 7 and Grade 8 report cards. Recommendation from a teacher must reflect outstanding achievement in one or more academic disciplines and involvement in a community service.  Standardized test scores must be in the 90th percentile in math and reading.  Other criteria considered are: integrity, motivation, attendance, initiative, leadership qualities, intellectual depth, and exceptional judgment.

Students must show outstanding educational growth, improvement, commitment and / or intellectual development in all their academic subjects.  This award is meant to encourage and reward students who work hard and give their best effort.
