Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in serving as a volunteer at St. Margaret School. St. Margaret School and the Archdiocese of Baltimore are committed to maintaining the faithful’s trust by providing our children and youth with safe environments characterized by healthy relationships. With our longstanding commitment in mind, all parishes and archdiocesan Catholic schools use VIRTUS, a compliance management system that allows all parishes and schools to facilitate compliance with archdiocesan child protection requirements for all volunteers who work with minors, employees, and clergy.

All volunteers are required to complete VIRTUS Training. If you would like step-by-step instructions, please visit our VIRTUS screening and training page.

The Archdiocese of Baltimore is committed to providing a quality, healthy ministry for all persons, particularly for our children and youth.

All those who wish to work or volunteer in our school must be appropriately screened and trained and provide three written references to the school. All who wish to do so must go to virtusonline.org. You will register by clicking “First-Time Registrant.” Select: “Begin the registration process” and then “Baltimore Archdiocese.” You will create a login ID and password. (Note: Please ensure, when selecting your location, that you select Margaret School, St. (Bel Air) to register for the school. If you select “Margaret, St. (Bel Air), you will be registering to volunteer at St. Margaret Parish ONLY.)

Please contact Mr. Jon Gerstmyer for further information at 410-877-9660 or access the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s website for current information on compliance.

Please contact the Home & School Association to learn more about volunteering at our school, or your child’s room parent for volunteering options in the classroom.
