Before & After School Programs
Registration for the 2026 – 2027 school year has opened. Families are still welcome to register for EDC and will be welcomed as spots become available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please use the forms below to register.
All middle school slots for the 2026-2027 school year are filled. If you would like to be placed on the waiting list, please contact Mrs. Henry.

Please complete and return your Registration Form and $25 application fee beginning on Monday, May 3rd. Please remember we require one form and fee per child, not per family.
Additional registration paperwork will be available by the end of May.
Extended Day Care (EDC) is offered to enrolled SMS students on regularly-scheduled, full-school days for the benefit of working parents. We provide a safe, nurturing environment and a staff that is dedicated to providing the best care for your children. We are accredited with a Letter of Compliance from the State of Maryland Office of Child Care.
Hours of Operation:
Preschool-Grade 5: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm
Grades 6-8: 2:50 pm until 6:00 pm
Extended Care is available on most early-dismissal school days and teacher professional days (that are scheduled) when school is closed for students. Parents of EDC program students will be notified about advance sign-up for these additional days.

Late Fee charge past 6 pm closure is $1.00 per child per minute.
**Advanced sign up required for early dismissal. Must have a minimum number of 10 children signed up in order for the center to open. Pick up will be 4pm and the price is $43.60.
***There will be a $25 REST MAT FEE billed in September for any half day preschoolers.
Availability for drop-ins will be evaluated once enrollment is finalized.
