St. Margaret School provides opportunities for our students to participate in several extra-curricular athletic experiences. These sports programs are designed to reflect the mission of our school, which is to instill in each child an understanding and appreciation of the values and ideals of the Catholic faith through teamwork, effort, and leadership.
Fall Sports
Soccer
Students at St. Margaret School can participate in the Archdiocese of Baltimore Soccer Program. A school-sanctioned club program, St. Margaret School students compete against other schools in the area! The Archdiocese of Baltimore Soccer Program teams are made up of parishes or schools within the Archdiocese of Baltimore, allowing them to join a league that brings together other teams with like-minded values, with minimal barriers to entry, ensuring the sport of soccer can be enjoyed by all.
Soul Striders Running Club
Students at St. Margaret School have the opportunity to join the cross-country running club. With practices held during the school week, with races against each other, and the John Brown Invitational at John Carroll High School. The cross-country team is open to students in grades 3-8.
Winter Sports
Basketball
Starting in fourth grade, students can participate in the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) Basketball program through St. Margaret Parish! Practices are held weekly, and games are played in the CYO League throughout the Archdiocese of Baltimore!
Spring Sports
Lacrosse
Each spring, our middle school girls have the opportunity to join the Lacrosse Team. Practices are held at the middle school campus once a week following school, and games are played about once a week after school, mostly right in Bel Air. There is a small cost associated with the field rentals, referee fees, and uniforms.
