All students enrolled at Saint Margaret Catholic School are required to participate in the religion program. The Benziger Blest Are We Series is the primary religion program. Our parish priests and deacons work cooperatively with the religion teachers at each grade level to supplement religious instruction. Instruction on family life using the Harcourt Growing in Love program is incorporated into the religion program for grades 1 to 8. A healthy relationships curriculum is taught along with the family life program. The liturgical celebrations, including celebration of the Eucharist, are an integral part of the school’s curriculum and community life. Classroom prayer, prayer services, and an opportunity for retreat experiences in grades 6, 7 and 8 are part of the religion program. Social justice, its meaning and application, are taught and integrated into our religion curriculum. As a result, Saint Margaret School is committed to many outreach projects. Our school children participate in activities in the school, local, Archdiocesan, and global communities.
